I made this concrete bird bath.
During Spring 2020, I spent a good amount of time cultivating a really nice garden with a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. There are so many beautiful birds in the area because of our proximity to the Rouge Valley.
This bird bath was created from stones from my favorite places around where I grew up: The Rouge Valley and Colonel Danforth Park. I wanted to make something that would stand the test of time...something that would be on the property and be useful to the birds in the area and also the something for us to enjoy. The project brought me a lot of satisfaction because birds actually use it, my parents can enjoy it and it was a pleasure to build.
